Empower Schools, Impact children
Since 2016, MAMO Uganda has been equipping schools and communities with the tools, skills, and support they need to care for and educate vulnerable children. There is no greater reward than walking alongside these children as they reclaim better health and thrive in the classroom.
In many under-served communities, schools face daily challenges from limited resources and inadequate infrastructure to a lack of basic health and safety systems.
MAMO Uganda exists to bridge that gap by offering support to schools and children centers serving vulnerable children living in extreme poverty in Uganda. Through practical training, essential resources, and community-driven initiatives, we are helping schools become safer, stronger, and more sustainable—so every child has a better chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
The Reality Schools Face
Across many communities in Eastern Uganda, schools operate under significant strain. Classrooms are often overcrowded, resources are limited, and essential systems to support children’s health, safety, and learning are either inadequate or completely absent.
Teachers and school leaders are deeply committed, but many lack access to training, tools, and ongoing support needed to respond effectively to everyday challenges—from minor medical emergencies to maintaining safe and functional learning environments.For families already facing financial hardship, these challenges extend beyond the classroom. Children risk falling behind, and schools struggle to remain open and sustainable.
Without practical support and long-term solutions, these gaps continue to affect not just education, but the overall wellbeing and future of the children and communities they serve.

Many children throughout Africa are left to bear the brunt of war, disease and poverty. We embrace these children with love and empower them with through supporting their education and equipping them with skills to enable them grow into responsible members and leaders in their community.
