How to get involved

Pray • Give • Go

Coming up: A 2022 Spring Trip to host a Refresher for the First-Aider training, restock kits, and continue developing relationships. We’ll also be exploring a possible partnership with a local Ugandan ministry.

Pray

We would love your prayers. With each of these trips there are risks that we are likely to encounter, both physical and spiritual. Please pray that God would go before us and protect our teams from every danger in Uganda and on the way.

Another vital prayer need is for wisdom as we continue to develop and refine programs. We want to provide the support that is most needed, not just what we think will help. To do that requires incredible wisdom, and hearts to not just listen but to really hear.

Finally, please pray for the pastors, school directors, head teachers, and other staff who are serving these precious children. They are on the frontlines of ministry in Uganda, facing incredible challenges every day. If nothing else, our prayers help cultivate our own hearts to recognize and appreciate the blessings we enjoy, which are so abundant.

Give

After three years, we are excited to announce that we get to go back!! If you want to learn more about our trip or help us get there, please visit our Managed Missions page, here.

Help with our Amazon Wish List, here.

Give your tax-deductible financial gift via PayPal, here. Gifts help with ongoing program development, assessments of current projects, and (as God gives opportunity) helping with specific and unique needs in Uganda and beyond.

We’re also working on a scholarship program to help cover educational expenses for future teachers and nurses educated in MAMO-affiliated schools. This fund, though still being developed, is hoped to become an endowment that will provide for one or more scholarships a year. As of this writing, the cost to fully fund one student’s studies is approximately $5000 USD, meaning that for a minimal investment of American capital, young Ugandan men and women can receive a college degree. The long-term goal is to be able to have former students return to serve in their communities once their educations are complete.

Please check back regularly for updates and application details as they become available.

  • Fall 2022 – (tentative) we want to give thanks for all God has done, celebrating with our Ugandan brothers and sisters the impact of our partnership through MAMO. Team size: 8-10
  • Spring 2023 – we’ll be doing another refresher training and exploring further opportunities for devvelopment and partnership in Uganda. Team size: 5-7

Day to day:

  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (coming soon) to keep updated on what God is doing in and through MAMO and how you get involved!
  • Make washable feminine hygiene products. You can use this pattern, one from Pinterest, or design one all your own. It doesn’t matter; anything will help! Girls who make it to secondary school in Uganda can’t attend school without feminine products, and washable pads are much more sustainable than disposable pads. Your help can literally change the lives of young women in Uganda!!
